The State Bar Association is operated by funds appropriated by the State Legislature from a special trust fund. These records are used to document the activities of the members. Information in each file includes letters of reference, correspondence to the association from each attorney, newspaper obituary clippings, resumes, copies of legislature journal pages if the attorney has been commended by the legislature, receipts for fees paid in applying for the state bar, and application for membership. Photographs of the attorney may be included.
